The volume worksheet below was given during class today and is due Friday.
We worked on finding missing dimensions of cylinders (radius and height) if we are given the volume.
Over the past few days we took the notes below on volume. There are two worksheets below that we did Monday and Tuesday. The Practice Problems from Unit 5, Lesson 13 are due Wednesday at the start of class (last two problems not required).
Today we reviewed area (what it is) and found the area of irregular shapes on the attached file. We then watched this video www.youtube.com/watch?v=YokKp3pwVFc proving the formula for the area of a circle. We then took the notes below. Tomorrow we will practice finding the area of circles and explore the meaning of volume.
We practiced finding rate of change and starting value from a table that doesn't start at zero and skip counts. We then compared the water park costs on the worksheet below.
Today we worked on pages 3-4 of the packet posted yesterday. Pages 1-4 should be done now. I excused some students from some questions, but generally most of the questions should be answered.
